i heard vaseline(petroleum jelly) works well for a close shave. but i find that the more careful & slow i shave the less spots i miss & i actually finish faster than when i try to hurry up the process.
P.S. dont use the vaseline around the pubic area & make sure to rinse ur razor a lot between strokes
