often when I shave with a razor afterwards I break out with all these pimples where my beard was. How can I make them go away?

I have a beard of about 4 months & I want to shave it off. I don’t have clippers but I do have barber scissors. Could I use scissors to trim my beard low enough to shave it off with a razor or should I go & buy clippers?

Any shaving tips for a 14 year old girl who just started growing underarm hair?
I’m going to use conditioner, is that ok? but i saw some shaving gel? can’t find any shaving cream.
I dont wanna get ingrown hair, stubble or cuts. I’m scared.

After me asking for a razor my dad bought me an electric razor. its the kind with the three floating heads & the flip out trimmer. I’m 15 & I’ve never shaved before. Is there a special way to get started & what are some good tips?

It is kind of pulsing..if I apply pressure. Half of the cut has healed & it got deep in the bulging area.
Help please?

How to treat razor burns with home products?
I shaved an area near my stomach without applying shaving cream before hand & now I have red dots that can be irritated when I move around. They look like acne but I’m sure its just the effects of dry skin & shaving without using cream. How can I treat this? Right now I’m using Cetaphil on it more than twice a day to hopefully reverse the dryness.

It looks like a jungle down there, I need to shave. However, I only have a regular razor. Can I trim it down with scissors then just use a razor?

I would like to know what is a good razor to shave with……..To wear you don’t get razor bumps or the irritation afterward?
I use the cheap two dollar ones (disposal). Mainly because it is cheap.
But I’m willing to spend some more money to get the right razor so any idea would be much appreciated
Also do you think it could be the shaving cream as well? Any ideas for this?

is it ok to use shaving cream where the bottle is rusty like the top? because i used that kind for a while then i got a different kind & used that & it ran out so i had to use the older stuff & when i opened the top it was all rusty? is that ok?

every time that i shave with a new razor, for the first couple of weeks it always cuts me, & i get really bad razor burn. I shower in warm/hot water, & i always wait atleast ten minutes before i shave. any advice?

regular shaving cream will clog up your electric razor. They have conditioners for that. I use one on the weekends, & it has a container conditioner that feeds automatically to the face while shaving.

My old electric razor is broken, so I’m trying to determine which would be the cheapest way to shave for the future.

After I shave I apply an after shave spray & lotion made with tea tree oil. I am an african american man that has been fighting this never ending war ever since I started shaving in the 7th grade. If anyone can help please let me know because Ive tried everything.

it shouldn’t unless you are allergic to your shaving cream. you might get a rash or razor burn, but not acne. you can get ingrown hairs that might resemble acne.

Alcohol doesn’t disinfect or sterilize anything, & neither does an open flame or boiling water.
Do not share shaving razors (or anything that can spread blood from one person to another) with anybody.
The other answerer is incorrect & sadly mistaken in both his definitions of “sterilization” & “sanitization”, & in his explanation of hospital procedure. Hospitals use autoclaves to sterilize their equipment, not the ways he described.
